Ease your web management ride
ByI am wondering why sometimes, inspite of choosing everything in right direction, things go wrong! and that made me write this article to my lovely audience
here I gave it a thought and simplified things to get a series of steps for you to take while you are making (playing the role of a customer for designing or redesigning your website with a company) a design of your site or a redesign.
If you are the designer of your site then no worries, you know what you want and you have everything clear of what and how the site should look like. This article is subjected for those who approach companies for their website needs. The first thing everyone does it correctly is choosing a right company. This can be done either googling for a good company or reading the reviews of its customers and looking at its past works/designs. So i concentrated on the rest of the job to be done by the customer (in easy terms) to work with designer of the company or the mediater who mediates between the customer and the company designer.
I would expect the customer too to know his roles as a customer I mean,..sometimes designer will also have some expectations from the customers and their roles as part of the project right?
Before going through any phase, you better make it clear how many mocks are you going to get from the designer, the formats they are delivered, the time intervals in between and the logistics too. These things play a key role throughout the project work so you must make everything clear before even begining the project.
Well if possible, it is always easy and better to show the desinger the samples or examples if you have any or just the ideal case examples so that the designer can build up a shape of your needs.
When the desinger shows his mocks or pre desinged samples, be prepared to see completely a different object as it is an obvious thing that no mind in this universe thinksĀ alike so always expect some unwanted results so that you wont be turn down and at the same time can explain further what exactly you want from the designer. Try to be little bit humble while criticising the things so that it will be a sweetest thing to correct rather than a bitter feeling with strong criticisms thus deviating from the objective and wasting the days’ time.
Also when the designer tries to explain the issues like page load time, user friendly, try to give it an ear as if the page loads a bit late, you are vulnerable in losing potential customers of your website. This will probably make both parties understanding things what they want from each other and working on such grounds.
